Where Did The Term Ghost Whisperer Originate?

Can anyone tell me the origins of this term. Was it originated by the TV show of the same name or is it from somewhere else?

    it was coined before the show its a Reference to horse whisperers it people who have a gift at tame/breaking horse almost like they can talk to the horse
    the term is also used for dog’s hence the dog whisperer

    Most probably they adopted it from the word “horse whisperer”, a man who can tame horses by seemingly talking to them.
