YES You read right! Season 6 has the green light because ABC have picked up our beloved tv show The Ghost Whisperer.
The internet has become a buzz with this news and fans are in meltdown mode but for a great reason.
This is really exciting news and thousands of you Ghost Whisperer fans should give yourselves a huge pat on the back because I believe it was with all your help , your love and your support for Ghost Whisperer that convinced ABC to make the deal official !
Congrats to everyone , I am so so happy about this . This could really be the best fresh beginning for our great tv show . Please join me and comment about your thoughts on this really good news!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! YAY!!!! I can’t wait to continue watching Ghost Whisperer. My adult daughter & I watch as many repeats as we can even if it’s hard to figure out which ones as it’s on a few channels where we live. But that’s no problem because we feel we aren’t missing much if we can watch all the ones that we possible can. Keep up the fantastic work! Love the show.

Not official yet as per my tweets, however as I believe an Announcement from ABC is Imminent , those were the exact words I was told and I believe that to mean after JLH’s appearance on The View. The news is coming from a source that is not Perez. The same message has been “leaked” to other sources as well including Spoiler sites, all I can say is be watching The View very closely !

…but before we get too carried away, I propose a moment of silence & respect for the hard work this team has ahead of them this Summer. When everything was with one network, every season was a smooth transition with time off for other projects, etc. Given the network transition, its likely this entire team will be putting in 7-day weeks until well after New Years. Think about it:
1) Take Stock: They are going to have to run a fine tooth comb through the entire product creation and delivery process from beginning to end to see who they can pin down to take with them and who they can’t. There may be contract negotiations involved, unions, studios (and 1000 others things I can only guess at) to see which assets/people/teams can be shaken loose and which ones can’t.
Mel Blanc said it best: “Think Fast, Rabbit…” (And move faster…)
2) The Spackle: There are going to be holes in the transition and people/departments/groups are going to be needed to fill those gaps. These will be new people, talented sure, but people who hve never ever worked together before & don’t know what to expect from each other. There is going to be a learning curve & there will need to be some team bonding for the synergy that this product needs. Remember, its different. Its written differently and its put together differently because it builds. Its going to take some adjusting to for the new people.
3) The Heavy Lifting: Once everyone/everything gets pinned down, this team is going to need to hit the ground running and All Summer Long. There’s going to be no time for hand holding and very little time for having to ask or give directions. For the entire team, this is going to get Hard. For some, this may end up being the single hardest Summer and Fall that they have ever worked through.
Still if there has ever been a team that has learned to work hard through adversity, from natural disasters like the set fire to the writers strike, its this one. I just wish they were an investment option for a 401-k.
Oddly enough, one of the best shows to take cues from what works & what doesn’t when changing networks is from the competion that CBS took from NBC: Medium. If you study the last few episodes from NBC & the first few on CBS, you’ll see the gaps where the spackle didn’t hold. If the team sees & studies these, they can learn from that other teams walk-thru and do better right out of the gate.

Who knows Stottie – I seriously do not know anymore , I am still being told to sit and wait , I dont know what that means , I believed it to be ABC taking it up and an announcement being made after The View, well I guess that part was correct …. maybe there is more news or more CORRECT news coming, i dont know but I refuse to give in just yet and believe anything until we really know its the end forever.

I’m so sick and tired of the sitting around in limbo! For crying out loud..surely some network has enough sense to pick up the best show on T.V. today!!! Good grief! If each one of us think not to bother signing the petition and think everyone else will do it then nothing will happen. Each one of us can make a difference by signing the petition and also getting our friends and families involved.
I know some fans have facebook profiles and twitter accounts with hundreds of friends on them. Imagine if you got all of your friends involved and ask them for just 1 minute of there time to help you save your favourite show ? Then we would have thousands and thousands of signatures.
Unfortunately its hard work getting some people to take 1 minute out of there life to sign something for a friend for free, even with the 700 twitter followers I have , only about 100 have signed so far. I really makes you wonder – do people really care?
Not to sound negative as I hate negative talk but this is why shows get canceled , because people sit back and think others will take care of it.
I have seen thousands of fans out there on facebook,on twitter,myspace,everywhere all talking about how sad they are about Ghost Whisperer being canceled , well where are they then?

I am soooo mad about this-I only discovered this was happening at the end of August!!! I am still in shock!!! I was sooo looking forward to season 6 so I was checking the 2010 fall lineup for my favorite shows and that’s when I found out!!!! I think it’s unfair of the networks to just cut a show like that-it has been popular enough to last 5 seasons, what is so unfair about it is that they never gave the viewers a chance to Accept it ending-had they picked it up for one more season but announced that this was the finale season-THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE ACCEPTABLE !!! People do understand that realistically all good shows end eventually…

Yes… it’s a very good news. Ghost Whisperer is one of the best TV show ever made. The story is quite better than the other ghost stories. Light, fun, touching, dynamic and intriguing. The spirits are all over the places. What we do not see is what something we do not want to see.
Congratulations for saving G.W. Other inferior TV shows reached over the 10th season. Why GW, superior, cannot get the same result?

It figures. CBS and ABC: You really STINK! My husband and I LOVED Ghost Whisperer, TiVO’d it every week and watched it faithfully, bought all the available seasons on DVD, and really looked forward to Friday nights BECAUSE OF THIS SHOW! A couple of my siblings only recently got hooked on it, too – and now your are TAKING IT OFF THE AIR? With all the trash airing on network TV, it is clear you have no clue how to make a good decision anymore. PEEPS calm down, its only abc, there is plenty of other networks out there who can check the ratings and pick it up.
series 1 and series 2 was high. series 3 dropped in ratings series 4 picked up by nearly 2 million due to the loveable funny character eli adding some sharp witt with melinda and jim even ned maturing into series 5 which hasnt dropped ratings but equaled that of series 4. look it up series 4 n 5 have increased ratings from series 3.
there is other networks like paramount, FX, spike tv, SYFY, bravo etc
bravo do sparticus blood and sand/gods of the arena and are used to showing more adult sweary tv shows so maybe ghost whisperer could go to bravo and i aint saying itd become more adult with swearing but maybe bravo could mature ghost whisperer even more and make it seem more adult worldly as they are getting older.
also everything that happens in ghost whisperer is based on 100% real life from the woman who melindas based on, in real life theres going to be shocking things happen than they might of been allowed to show you in the gw tv shows due to the network being a more 12-15 rating in audience vieiwers (ie when u go to see a movie in cinema its a 12 12a 15 15 adult 18 or rated r etc etc)
If not bRAVO THEN what about FX
FX has one of the worlds greatest ever tv shows on it right now, im not talking about true blood (which like ghost whisperer is about the super natural) it has one of my fav tv shows of all time DEXTER, i love dexter LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would love to sit down on a friday night in the u.k to an episode of ghost whisperer then right after it dexter, or the other way around
BRAVO HAVE SPARTICUS SERIES and 1-2 other historic-super natural shows like medium they sometimes show and they also sometimes with the tv channel Virgin show ghost whisperer repeats
now if bravo and fx cant get it what about SYFY (SCI-FI) they show ghost whisperer repeats, smallville, HEROES, medium, true blood, and all kinds of syfy-super natural shows on repeat
maybe ghost whisperers new home could be right alongside heroes-smallville-medium-true blood etc on syfy itd suit the demographic.
now i could also mention the show channel e4, E4 could pick up ghost whisperer, if not e4 american’s newish network SPIKE TV
alot of people nowadays in real life are more open and welcoming to ghosts and the super natural so chucking ghost whisperer on spike tv could be a massive massive hit for that network to make it a major player in american networks. then you have FOX, UPN, CNN, etc
so many networks i feel all GW have to do is advertise it around to every network maybe draw them in with a 3-5% lower price sale with the guarantee it’ll become one of their top 3 tv shows and make them a hell lotta money and be worth it for the following series they’ll be able to get.
just because abc might not want it, and they might u-turn again plenty of time left still it’ll be back one day as it’s too good too turn your back on.
remember scrubs that finished it was cancelled then 8 months later they picked it up for 2 more seasons. FAMILY GUY GOT CANCELLED AFTER SERIES 4 AND 7 and look now theyre on series 9 or series 10 maybe series 11

TO ALL GHOST WHISPERER FANS do not threat or worry, there is dozens of networks out their right now who i have on very good authority from the controller of bbc america. thats right i’m a friend of a producer steven moffat who does DOCTOR WHO and talking to moffat when they weas in america a few months back i was there too as a free guest hahaha i love new york beautiful city. i got steven moffat to bring up during his time there to sell doctor who to american audeinces to mention ghost whisperer and heroes.
he mentioned these too as heroes has been cancelled too, which you might of known already. russel t davies former producer of doctor who, has sold torchwood to american tv company AND THIS company network who has brought the doctor who spin-off torchwood which will be set most likely in new york or los angeles has said which passed back to my mate who knows and works for steven moffat this.
THE TV NEWTORK possibly syfy or fx which has brought TORCHWOOD for america starting in 2011-2012 has been vieiwing HEROES and GHOST WHISPERER in a triple package deal to feature in a supernatural-sci-fi night of programming commencing in 2011-2012
even though heroes and ghost whisperer ain’t been signed up by anyone YET!!!
TOM KRING of heroes has been in talks with this said un-named but rumpoured network ie fx or syfy to bring heroes back in 2011-2012 after a year or two off tv so people start missing it and return fresh faced when seeing a brand new heroes outlook more adult and edgier.
Now James Van Praagh might not mention this himself atall and you might not hear about it here for another 6-10 months but trust me GHOST WHISPERER IS WANTED
FX AND SYFY WANT GHOST WHISPERER but neither have made it public or true in speaking of it yet.
FX and SYFY have six current shows they are negotiating with currently
when syfy and fx sort out the next season’s of SMALLVILLE-TRUE BLOOD-HEROES-MEDIUM-THE WIRE and 1-2 other shows they will get the rest sorted
all ive been told is GHOST WHISPERER AFTER SERIES 5 WILL MOST LIKELY BE OFF TV FOR A PERIOD OF 15-20 MONTHS MAYBE THE FULL 2 YEARS IT’LL TAKE but fx and syfy are looking at it interestingly.
dont get your hopes up though to a 100% but by 2012 even if its been off air for 18 months to 2 years GHOST WHISPERER WILL BE BACK and by then aiden will be a few years older ned will be in a more adult relationship possibly engaged-married with a KID OF his own on the way. who knows.
fx and syfy have 6-10 shows all together ending soon-or starting new seasons and once they negotiate new contracts for them 6-10 tv shows for new seasons in 2011-2012 ghost whispers real fate will then be solved.
For now only ABC have had talks with GW whilst virgin-spike tv and bravo are all interested plus paramount.
WITH PARAMOUNT PRODUCING PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 RECENTLY RUMOUR HAS IT THEYRE TRYING TO USE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 2 to become a more adult associated pull for audience viewers and they will try use a possible PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3, YES A PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 ALREADY IS BEING TALKED ABOUT and during talks for a 3rd ITS LIKELYNESS TO GHOST WHISPERERS PARANORMAL OUTLOOK WAS MENTIONED IN THE MEETING WITH Oli, the guy who made the 1st PA movie and has some work on the second.
DONT BE SUPRISED IF YOU SEE GHOST WHISPERER GO TO PARAMOUNT after paranormal activity 2 and inbetween a 3rd one being made if abc dont want it.
only be suprised that if paramount goes after GW so will FX AND SYFY!!!!!!!!!!

All i can say is 2011-2012 more likely, and with the networks watch out for a syfy-fx and paramount battle for these free vacancied tv shows.
eight months ago i over heard smallville being cancelled after series 10, go out with a bang but one or two insiders i know fought tooth nail and claw to save it and on good authority i have it that smallville has a series 11 lined up for it’s adoring fans.
8 months it was battled for, the pro’s and con’s of a series 11 or no series 11 and thats whats happening with ghost whisperer. it’s a virtual tug of war for it and even though CBS AND ABC might say they’ve cancelled it i wouldnt be suprised if in 2011 cbs and abc give it another 1-2 seasons as they have changed their mind several times before on diff tv shows.
GW RIGHT NOW = CANCELLED
GW COME 2011-2012 = SAVED. ITS A PROMISE!!!
One mention to my friend, he’ll raise the subject to moffat he’ll point it out to russel t davies and within 6 months if russel t davies who’s doing an american network 1 series with a 2nd if it’s succesfull version of TORCHWOOD for american tv then his influence could cause network cheifs to verbally spread it through networks and out of nowhere GW steps out of the light and it’s back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All it takes is the right people in influence to talk about it, too miss it and before you know if and when russel t. davies brings it up to the network who’s signed up torchwood they’ll sort it out or a bidding war will start.
Trust me, masi oka and adrian pasdar who played hiro in heroes and nathan petrelli are very good friends of mine aswell, i met MASI on the set of scrubs five or six years ago might of been seven when he played a character called FRANKLYN a lab assistant.
MASI OKA is a very good special effects creator and a genius in my eyes and he loves medium, he loves comics, he loves ghost whisperer smallville he loves anything and everything super natural including the show supernatural, L.O.L
Tv shows get cancelled or stalled regularily every 2-3 years but they a majority of them always come back unless they’ve done just one series or 8-10 already.
Did you all know there used to be a tv show called JAKE 2.0 which was cancelled after 16 episodes, russel t davies and two others have been in touch with FX AND SYFY and jake 2.0 might return in 2011 with a new actor playing jake foley not christoper goram, which would be a massive shame. there is rumours i heard from inside the business if it does return milo ventigilia, zachary quinto or ELI ROTH might play jake foley in a 13 episode series. thats all the inside rumour i’ve heard, can’t say anymore.
All i will say before i go, as tomorrow i have a trip to make upto nova-scotia think thats right, its in canada and we’re heading up there me my friend and 1-2 others to discuss the possability of the movie kick-ass being made into a 6-12 episode tv-movie series next year to get everyone hyped up for the KICK-ASS 2 movie. a sequel. again i won’t say anything more.
GW has 3-4 networks not mentioned here interested in the show. so don’t worry it’ll be back within the next two years.

I can’t believe that such a great show is being canceled. There are so many people who work so hard all week look forward to that show and watch it real-time as they don’t want to wait or miss a thing.
The characters are wonderful and the show is one of those rare shows that have you on the edge of your seat with the story line of the present show and a build up of the season story.
If this show were to be canceled a lot of people would definitely be upset. I do hope it does come back and I signed the petition as well. There are a lot of people who don’t know it might be canceled. I say might, because I am hoping it goes the positive way for us all.

Ever since Ghost Whisperer came on TV it has helped me to face my problems head on even better. Especially in helping others to have some closure so that they may be able to move on with their lives after the loss of a loved one. I don’t see ghosts, nor talk to them like Melinda does, but I know that they are around us and speak to us in other ways, I feel their presence and at times they do reveal themselves to me, not always. We just need to pay attention to all the signs as best as we can to help the ones who are still alive to have closure and move on towards healing and to get their lives to become healthy positive as possible. So please, as a fan and supporter and one who helps people, please don’t take my Ghost Whisperer away.
